Saltgrass Retrievers gives great care and attention to each dog and helps them grow to their highest potential. Our black lab worked very well with Brad. We had a young lab had submissive issues and hyperactivity and she is still a happy girl, but is now well-trained and very skilled. Brad worked with her to help calm her down and focus while working in the feild. Brad spent time also graciously teaching my family how we could continue training. He served as her handler to win her first pass towards her junior title! I would recommend Brad to anyone who is looking to advance their retriever and is willing to spend the time and attention to learn how to also continue their dog in training. He knows dogs, appreciates hard work, and loved our dog like his own while she grew in her training. We were so pleased to see our dog mature in her hunting skills and advance to blinds. THANK YOU!!!

After hearing great things about Brad and his dogs, I contacted him to see if he would have any puppies available matching my timeline and the temperament and health clearances I was looking for. He didn't have any available for me, but Brad went above and beyond, offering to keep an eye out for me in the gun dog community. Sometimes people say they'll get back to you but never do. Well Brad kept his word and directed me to another kennel that had a puppy matching my needs. I couldn't be happier with my new pup, Ace. He's a great puppy, and Brad is a standup guy.

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Brad at Saltgrass Retrievers for turning Drake around for me. I brought Drake to Brad in November of 2015. At that point Drake had no drive to retrieve anything, but the food bowl. Which had me waayyy stressed out!!! After a few months with Brad, he turned all that around and sent me home with some training techniques to further his training. I started hunting Drake at the beginning of the 2016 season. He has been such a gentleman in the blind and never breaks when we shoot. His drive to retrieve now is what every hunter wants in their Labrador.

Update on Hank. He has become a really great hunting Partner. He has such drive. He is larger than most Labs. We hunt a lot of deep water and flooded brush Brad laid a great foundation and training. At home he Is just a big old baby full of love.

Brad did a fantastic job with my dog Hank. Brad had Hank ready for fall 2014 hunting season. Hank is only 10 months old. But he is steady and on his way. I look forward to sending Hank back to Brad in Feb 2015 for more work.

Knowing nothing about retrievers I brought my lab puppy "Birdy" to Brad. She is now the consummate well behaved and expert retriever I had always hoped she would be. I really had no idea early on what Brad had accomplished with her until I began to see what other people's dogs were like and what their trainers had done for them. I mean no slight to others, but Brad really is the best I have come across. He is patient and knowledgeable, friendly and approachable and will give your dog the time and attention needed for success. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
